Grace, peace and joy to you in the Most Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary!

Our next Novena of Masses will be from August 14th (Feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe and Vigil of the Assumption) until August 22nd (Immaculate Heart of Mary and Mary’s Queenship).

Some who have participated in the Novenas have asked how they can help us even beyond the support offered us in the Novena of Masses. As we are only in our fourth year since the start of the contemplative branch, and since we are isolated from traffic and have no contact with people through any form of apostolate, any donations are most welcome and appreciated.

At present we need a tractor to mow and work the grounds, haul firewood and to plow the road.

Donations can be sent directly to us through Paypal (please note that you have to use a COMMA instead of a period between the dollars and cents: i.e. $5,00 – it’s an Italian thing!)

Or a check can be sent to our Friary in New Bedford made out to “Franciscans of the Immaculate” with “Ritiro Mariano” in the memo section:

Ritiro Mariano (check payable to “Franciscans of the Immaculate”)

c/o Our Lady’s Chapel

P.O. Box 3003

New Bedford, MA 02741-3003

(please put “Ritiro Mariano” in the memo section)

Thank you and may God reward you!

The Franciscans of the Immaculate, inspired by the example of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe, are seeking to conquer the world for the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the maternal mediation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The primary role of the contemplative branch is to sustain the Church, and more specifically the missions of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, by their hidden life of prayer and penance. Each Friary of the contemplative friars is called a Ritiro Mariano, which in Italian has the sense of a “Marian Hermitage” where the contemplatives retreat and pray. Recently the contemplative friars have undertaken the sacred and prayerful work of restoring altars. Your donations will aid the contemplative friars and their restoration work for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.

Ave Maria!
